چکیده

Abstract Background XP-Endo Finisher (XPF) and passive ultrasonic irrigation (PUI) are commonly used in intracanal medicament removal. The effectiveness of these two techniques needs to be compared, evidence-based research should conducted. Methods A comprehensive literature search was conducted PubMed, Web Science, Embase, Cochrane Library, Google Scholar up December 20th, 2020. outcomes the included trials were pooled into Collaboration’s Review Manager 5.3 software. Cochrane’s risk-of-bias tool 2.0 applied assess risk bias. Results Nine articles this systematic review processed for data extraction, eight studies identified meta-analysis. In general, use PUI showed better removal than XPF (odds ratio [OR]: 3.09; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.96–4.86; P < 0.001). also significantly more efficient apical third (OR: 3.42; CI, 1.32–8.84; = 0.01). The XP-Endo Finisher for the removal of calcium hydroxide paste from root canals and from the apical third

BACKGROUND The aim was to compare the efficacy of the passive ultrasonic irrigation PUI and the Xp-endo Finisher (FKG-Dentaire, La-Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland) in removing the calcium hydroxide paste from root canals and from the apical third. MATERIAL AND METHODS Sixty-eight root canals of single-rooted teeth were shaped using the BT-Race files (FKG-Dentaire, La-Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland)....

Efficacy of self-adjusting file and passive ultrasonic irrigation on removing calcium hydroxide from root canals.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficiencies of the self-adjusting file (SAF) system, passive ultrasonic irrigation (PUI), and conventional irrigation (CI) in removing calcium hydroxide (CH) from root canals. Fifty-one mandibular premolars were used. After root canals were instrumented and filled with a CH paste, 45 teeth were randomly assigned to three experimental groups according t...

Effect of Passive Ultrasonic Irrigation on Enterococcus faecalis from Root Canals: An Ex Vivo Study.

Endodontic irrigation aims to clean and disinfect the root canal system. Passive ultrasonic irrigation (PUI) is based on the use of an ultrasound-activated instrument into the root canal filled with irrigant. The aim of this study was to evaluate, ex vivo, the effectiveness of PUI in eliminating Enterococcus faecalis from root canals. Seventy-five extracted human single-root teeth were used. Af...

Efficacy of XP-endo finisher files in the removal of calcium hydroxide paste from artificial standardized grooves in the apical third of oval root canals.

AIM To compare the efficacy of the XP-endo finisher file (XP) (FKG Dentaire, La Chaux de Fonds, Switzerland) to that of passive ultrasonic irrigation (PUI) and conventional syringe and needle irrigation (SNI) in the removal of calcium hydroxide paste from an artificial standardized groove in the apical third of root canals. METHODOLOGY The root canals of 68 mandibular incisors with single ova...
